	NAGOYA FASHION CONTEST 2009 APPLICATION OUTLINE Rules Unreleased original work having a creative and unique sense of fashion can be entered into the genre of women's wear, men's wear or children's wear (for 4 or 5 years old). There will be no other classifications such as seasonal, formal or casual wear. There is no limit to the number of entries. Application qualification The contest is open to anyone. The standard of judgment Expressiveness, originality, perfection, color. Submission method On B4(258mm×364mm)-sized drawing paper, draw the design in color including the back style, material and image. Then, write the title of your work, material and concepts in the separate design explanation form, affix it at the lower right hand corner. 	Deadline All entries must arrive on or before May 29(Friday), 2009.* Entrance Fee Entrance fee is free for individuals residing outside of Japan. Individuals residing in Japan must pay 500yen per work. All remittance charges must be borne by the applicant. You can pay by sending money order or by cash at the secretariat. (The order must be issued within 6 months before your application.) Judges (titles omitted) Yukiko Hanai (Fashion designer) Hiromichi Nakano (Fashion designer) Yumiko Hara (Fashion director) Toshikazu Iwaya (Fashion designer) Tamae Hirokawa (Fashion designer) *Preliminary judging June 12 (Friday), 2009 Entrants who pass the preliminary judging will be notified by E-mail before the end of June. For the final judging, entrants who have passed the preliminary judging are to complete the selected work(s) based on the submitted design.
	Final public judging / announcement of results / awards ceremony September 11 (Friday), 2009 Public judging (in the format of a fashion show with models demonstrating the works to be judged) (Material and sewing technique of the works will be judged before the show) Place: Design Hall, 3F Design Center Bldg., 3-18-1 Sakae, Naka-ku, Nagoya JAPAN Awards Grand prix ----------------- One winner: Cash prize of 1million yen Gold prize ------------------ One winner: Cash prize of 300,000 yen Silver prize ---------------- One winner: Cash prize of 100,000yen Honorable Mention ----- Cash prize of 30,000yen (entrants who passed the final judging but did not receive the above award) Submitted designs and works All submitted designs are non-returnable. The intellectual property rights of winning works will belong to the authors; however, the sponsors reserve the privilege to use the winning works for PR purposes. All private information received on the application shall be used only for the contest management.
